Nearly Three Decades of Handmade Craft
Diana Davis started selling bags at craft fairs in 1998. She's never stopped. What grew from a side project into a full studio came from one simple thing: people kept coming back. Word spread through Maine's craft community, customers returned season after season, and a reputation for bags that actually hold up quietly built itself over nearly three decades.
How They're Made
Diana works with upholstery-weight tapestry fabric — chosen because it's beautiful and because it lasts. Each bag starts with a cardboard template, hand-cut from fabric, sewn on an industrial machine, and serged for strength. No shortcuts, no outsourcing. Every piece comes out of her Lovell, Maine studio.
Over the years, one design stood out enough to become the collection's signature — the Hideaway Bag, a shoulder bag that converts to a backpack with a single zip. It came from listening to customers. Most of the best designs do.
